Am I missing something, or is still there still no way to navigate to a point picked out on a map with Navigon? It seems that you can only navigate to an address or PoI.
Today I'm going to T4 @ Heathrow, and there is no address as such for it. I just want to pick the approach ramp. But I can't do that.
Equally where the road where I live is not listed yet (despite having been here for 2 years) but I can't pick the closest junction. |

You are. In Map View, scroll map to locate your destination, tap the 'Set Destination' button and move the pushpin to refine location and click Done? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Ahhh great! Thanks Darren.
I need to check if this affects Recent destinations, so I can store some more accurate destinations as Favourites. |

I must say the latest Navigon offering is starting to look more and more attractive.
However, I still can't decide between it and the current (reduced price!) TomTom version for my iPhone 3GS.
I am aware that I will probably get better results from a dedicated device, but I do like to have a satnav 'app' on my mobile 'phone! |

Sorry, but you have confused me too there Darren... I thought they were two separate 'rival' satnav programs. |

Sorry about that! Somehow the majority of my post disappeared there! The actual post was meant to say:
I really like BOTH Navigon and TomTom's iPhone offerings and find them hard to separate.
Navigon has a nice clean interface with a very iPhone'esque map that I really like. TomTom is more familiar to me having used it for many years.
Choosing between the two is hard but if I had to, I'd choose Navigon. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I find TomTom to be the more mature reliable product.
I used Navigon to get into central London yesterday and it lead me on a heck of a strange route! Scheduled arrival time was 9:15, and I arrived at 10:30. |

1.5.0 is out:
- NAVIGON MyRoutes
- Connection to Facebook and Twitter
- Panorama View 3D (In App Purchase)
The latter might be good for a bit of fun, but I suspect I'm sticking with TomTom at this point. |

panorama view actually looked really good at MWC. it's full 3d terrain - i.e. if the road ahead dips into a valley, you can see it dipping. very similar to igo8.
i'm not seeing 1.5 for the uk version yet though

1,5 update = crap GPS performance i.e. no signal and I am not going outside to try it for a second time - GPS working for other apps but not this one post update, will have to wait and see what it can do in the car in the morning - Also in app purchase of the fancy panorama view is rather unintuative, it does nothing and tells you nothing - After an hour I shut the app down and restarted it, then it said the new feature was installed.
Abyone else noticed the price hike for the other in app purchases? - Mike |

As far as the in-app purchase of the panorama view... once you've purchased it, you'll get another option near 'extras' called 'downloading'. If you go into this, you'll see the download progress.
Once it's fully downloaded, you'll need to restart the application before it works.
