Could someone else confirm that the following legitimate postcode gives an out of memory error (CE 4.2 PDA device) using iGO8:
LU6 2LF |

Unnamed road near Dunstable. On the map it points to a gap in a road which looks like it was once one maybe. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

It seems to be software version specific (not a problem on early 8.3.2) and it does not depend on size of poi or speedcam files; when it does happen it's rural postcodes with no house numbers that trigger it; some do work though. The problem appears when exiting the house number entry screen (pressing "done" without an entry) and not on routing.
Manually adding the postcode entry to the "history" file (editing the file or using a file from an earlier working version) and selecting it from there instead of inputting the postcode normally works fine. It's hardly a workaround but it shows something. Not sure what.
It may suggest that the problem is less to do with hardware memory limits and more to do the buggy code. |

I have had the out pf memory error too with rural postcodes and iGo 8 but it has been OK if I put in the town and street. |
