Just got a 4150 and only have TT3, checkpoint, and a few other applications installed (wifi sniffer 200k, batterybar, journal bar and 1calc from omega one, and betaplayer)
I seem to have used up 22MB of my storage space, which seems a lot since I have no email attachments and only a few contacts, no pictures etc.
Can anyone tell me how much free storage space is normal, and should I be concerned, or is everything fine?
Am I generally OK installing most applications to SD card (like netfront). I didn't install betaplayer there as it will be reading from the SD card so didn't know if it would have problems living there too. |

The more memory is available the more stable TomTom will run. Whatever you can move to the storage card should be installed there (not all applications actually comply, some install to main memory even though you explicitly tell them to go to storage card.
The voice files of TomTom alone already are over 2.5 MB, so they are prime candidate for moving. Eventually all items that are static (maps, programs, music files etc can go there. Only rapidly changing files (like config files or log files) should stay in main memory. _________________ Lutz

but I thought TT3 needed installing to main memory? not sure about having the speech and maps on one card - wouldn't that cause speed issues?
I've removed the wizard, but it still seems a lot of memory used up just with a few apps. |

I also have Palmtop BV TTNControl loaded with TTN3, Wizard etc.
Is this used by PPC2003 and TTN3 or is it a Palm file thus not needed?
Can I safely delete it if it isnt needed? |

No. It runs fine from storage card as well. The only thing that refuses to run from storage card is the GPS driver. But that's only about 600 KB _________________ Lutz
