Ok I'm here but a little lost as to what is required? You can't expand it 'TO' a specific folder but you can expand the file and then move the resulting folder to wherever you need it to be? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren, what I was thinking was along the lines of a "how to install a downloaded map without using Home"
Expand the map download file
Expand the activation code to the same folder as above
Delete any unwanted data such as the ASR files (for XL)
Copy/ move folder to the device - Mike |

Ah ok in which case its very similar to PC.
Extract the downloaded map. Move the resulting folder someplace more convenient if necessary.
Likewise extract the activation code and move to the map folder created above.
Copy the folder to the device which appears as a mounted drive on the desktop.
Nothing very different on a Mac. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren. I need to have a play around with this, and don't have time as I'm going away for a few days on business.
Will try again at the beginning of next week and post a message to report success or otherwise.
Many thanks again. |
