We will have to wait and see what any official announcement is re 1,3 from TomTom, some Live services would be a logical step though for an application created to run on a connected device!
Live services would be good but I would rather see some moves towards custom POI integration with the iPhone software i.e. the ability to load custom POI's from third party supplies and the ability to warn when approaching said POI without resorting to Jail Breaking the phone - Mike |

HD Traffic and Custom PoIs for me. Otherwise I won't bother using it. |

If LIVE services come to the iPhone app, my 740 will be straight on the 'Bay.
I wonder if this might give Tomtom pause - it's bound to cannibalise profitable hardware sales, surely? Or perhaps they can see the way the market's going, and PND's are doomed? |

You mean you would ditch the PGPSW database? _________________ Mike

I use a K1 for that. |

I was waiting for something like that
Having read comments about them altering the PGPSW data though I personally wouldn't jump ship yet. It would be nice to cut down on the number of devices though wouldn't it. _________________ Mike

It will be interesting to see if the iphone will get the same shared storage area that the ipad is getting. That would open up the possibility of having custom POIs. |

Does the new CamerAlert app not work at the same time as TT? _________________ Jock

An iPhone can only run one application at a time, running the TT app and CamerAlert isn't viable even with the phone JailBroke - Mike |

I've just popped in to see what iPhone app might replace my TT530 (which now has a battery life of around 5 seconds). But the lack of custom POIs is a deal-killer for me. I've spent a lot of time inputting various locations and I can't do without them now. |

Put a new battery in the 530 if custom POI files are a big deal as iFone is a real waste of time on this issue - Mike |

MacFormat is reporting that the new version with HD Traffic and Google search has been submitted to Apple. |
