Although I haven't tested it on a Touch with GPS cradle (as I don't have a suitable cradle) I was of the understanding that it should work?
As I understood it, the cradle assumes GPS service for any GPS app installed on the device. The app does not need to be GPS cradle 'aware'.
Does Google Maps show your position with the cradle? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Compatibility
CamerAlert is compatible with iPhone 3G and 3GS models running iPhone OS 3.0 and above. It is not compatible with the original iPhone or iPod Touch.
That's from the official PGPSW CamerAlert users guide!

Great app, just downloaded it. With the number of SPECS sites now in use, it's good to have something which will actually give the average speed.

The iPod doesn't have connectivity on the road so you could only show the cameras in list view, you can't submit cameras and you'd need wifi to download the database.
Also - how many iPod owners do actually have a GPS cradle? _________________ Lutz

Very nice looking application.
How about a cut down version without the live alerting but which allows you to browse the cameras on the map and submit updates?
That would be very usefull for me and would mean it could be marked as compatible with the ipod touch which I have. |

Yes,
and yes you do need to sync it to your pgpsw account in order to update the cameras on a weekly basis.

Hi guys
Downloaded last night and used this morning for the first time. Great value for money and a very slick and useful product. Submitted a couple of local camera locations too. Once thing, and I may be missing the obvious, but can the 'camera spotting' functionality store multiple locations on a journey, so that I can fill in the details later, rather than one at a time on the journey? If so, it may be easier to have a bigger button on the screen for this, or even have a toggle in setting to allow any touch anywhere on screen to record location whilst driving?
Thanks
Doug |
