|
|
Hi Folks,, my poi files on my 255 are now well out of date. The jet petrol station in surfleet is now a load of houses.
How do I remove all the poi files and declutter the maps. I can then put fresh ones in.
all the remove poi threads I am finding are coming up to do with cameras.
If the thread already exists could someone point me in the right direction please.
Or if someone can tell me how to delete the old stuff it would be greatly appreciated.
Alan. |

Who's POIs?
Garmins or PGPSW?
If Garmin, nothing you can do.
If PGPSW just upload the ones you DO want and it'll overwrite the old ones you don't want. |

I am going to presume that they are Garnin pois. I havnt downed any from the site.
Just seems pointless having a load of duff info on it.
Thanks for the quick response though. |

Sadly that's the way it is with Garmin. The POIs are quite out of data and many are just guesses from postcodes leading to some major inaccuracies.
The best you can do is download POIs from PGPSW to install along side and use them instead. At least PGPSW will take note of any additions / removals / corrections and include them in the downloads in a short time. |

the poi's are built into the map data so updating the maps MAY solve your particular issue. but that's an expensive way when you can simply ignore the inbuilt pois and download ours which are updated on an ongoing, daily basis.
