Anyone got an idea how the warnings are generated, ie is there a small speaker inside? Would like to be able to connect one to the Autocom on my bike |

The warnings are beeps, I doubt there is a speaker, more likely a piezo sounder. I don't see a way of connecting that.
But Inforad do have a dedicated motorbike model which uses a hugh intensity LED on a stalk for warnings, have you considered that? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yes, I had looked at the motorcycle version but would much prefer audio warnings through my intercom. Will contact Autocom to see if a piezo input can somehow be accomodated but suspect the answer will be no |

I'm not going to open the case of my K1. But I would not think you would be able to get any sort of socket fitted into it as its so small.
This may sound silly, but does your motor cycle intercom have a mike input. Could a mike be placed next/against the K1 and pick up the sound that way. |

Hi
Bought one of these things for my Dad for Christmas. He's into his 70's and doesn't need a Satnav with all the whistles and bells.
Set up in minutes.
It works great left in the cigarette lighter.
He thinks it's great.
That's my opinion, I would heartily recommend.
Managed to install it without Halfords help aswell |

Does it do directional alerts, so not to inform of cameras on the overside of the road ?
also i noticed you said it just uses bleeps, does it have any voice alerts to alert of potential radar guns etc. |

Not saying it already contains your answers but the thread 'Living with the Inforad' has more recent posts than here - might be worth copying in on it.. _________________ David

OK - have done just that and used the "unused" pillion headset mic up against the K1. It all works very well provided the arrangement is well wrapped up to avoid being set off as I ride over speedhumps etc
Will post more in motorcycle section |
