|
|
Updated my One IQ Routes yesterday with latest TomTom update, all safety cameras speeds are now out by a factor of 1.6 making them unusable.
i.e. all 30 mph cameras are shown as 19 mph and all 40 mph cameras are shown as 25 mph.
Seems TomTom have got km/miles well and truly screwed in their latest security camera database. Checked this morning for a fix and amazingly for something as fundamental and simple as this nothing ! |

This has come up quite a few times over the last few months. Another good reason to switch to the PGPSW database. |

This isn't the database at fault its actually the Navcore software, the fault is indeed MPH/ KPH related but we will have to wait for another Navcore update to fix this issue, or do as Paul suggests and use the superiour database offered by this site which doesn't suffer from stupid errors such as this - Mike |

Yes. The obvious (smug) answer is to reinstall the backup you ALWAYS make before you do anything like a software update.
If you haven't got into the habit of making backups, now you see why it is so important. With one, it is a couple of minutes work to get back to where you were before. Without one it is much more time and hassle for you and for whoever guides you through it.
So, question number one - what Navcore version do you want to go back to? |

I have 9.025 installed, also found the .cab for 8.415 in my TomTom Home downloads folder which would suit me fine. |

Just install it through HOME - it will be in the Add Traffic Voices etc then Items on My Computer section.
Just to be safe use the Manage My XL section and remove 9.025 first.
This MPH/KPH bug is well known on 9.022 and 9.025 with the TT speedcams. |

First... MAKE A BACKUP WITH WINDOWS EXPLORER NOW. This is really vital, as without it you could lose your maps, and that will cost money to recover from.See the FAQs at the top of this forum for instructions.
OK, to roll back, there are several ways to do this...
Easiest to try first is to connect to Home and go to "Add voices etc."
Scroll through the pages to "Items on my computer" and you should see the old version in the "software" section.
Home may let you install it straight from there.
If not, use Windows Explorer to delete all the "loose" files on the TomTom that are NOT in a folder. Do not delete any folders.
Then try the same procedure in Home using "Items on my computer".
If that still doesn't work, we can do a manual install. |

Thanks Andy that worked fine, now back at 8.415
Had to move 9.025 out of the downloads folder first as it only offered me the newest version.
Cheers |

I also have had this problem with my new 950, did not back it up "out of box" so cannot go back to previous O/S. Have since decided to re-subscribe to PGPSW after a break of 2 years.
New camera database installed and working fine. |
