Hi everyone
had a quick look through the forum but cannot find the answer for my question , so sorry if this has been covered before. I have a Oregon 300 and I have memmory map(MM) the first think is MM does not reconise the Oregon as it did my Etrex, and secondly how do you tranfere routs to the Oregon when using MM I know you have to convert the file to GPX format but then how do you transfer it to the Oregon, any help would be appriciated.

Hi Nick.
This is quite easy to do. From what I can see (and I'm no expert), memory map has direct support for .gpx files. I've just created a route on memory map, then clicked on the route, selected save as, then whilst the Garmin is connected via USB, I've simply saved it to the :device\garmin\gpx folder. When you then go into route manager on the Garmin, you can then see the route in the list.
Hi - here is a link to the Garmin FAQ which answers your question - and explains why Memory Map doesn't see your unit. The bit about transferring as a track rather than a route is important - handling of GPX files saved as tracks can transfer across inconsistently

Hi Nick,
You can easily transfer routes from MM to your oregon. Im about to do a 2nd video review but this time using the Oregon 550t & MM. However, the process of transferring routes is nearly the same as it is for all other Garmin/MM setups. See my initial video here
