|

Navigon have dropped the price of their MobileNavigator software covering the British Isles from £52.99 to £34.99 untill 11/01/10 (they seem to do this to coincide with an update to the software - version 1.4 has just been released).
But on top of this Morrisons are currently running a promotion where two £15 iTunes vouchers can be purchased for £20 - this brings the cost down to a fantastic £24.99!!! Thanks to starkey @ hotukdeals for finding the morrisons iTunes deal.
Hope this helps someone out.

Arguably one can do better, although I don't know if it works on iPhone - free - Check out GPSMid, but you need to be able to run Java apps (can the iPhone?).
I do not believe that the frees offering compare with the likes of premium products of Tomtom and the like, but I would be interested in a comparison between the low cost and open source / free apps. |

That's strange - the offer doesn't finish until the 20th of this month so you shouldn't have been told that.
That said I would not be surprised to hear they had sold-out so perhaps this is what they meant instead.
As for the original offer and having had time to have a play with the Navigon software then I would happily recommend it even at the £34.99 price-point.

Hi
Went to Morrisons on Sunday 13th and was told that Apple rep had advised them to stop selling the iTunes vouchers due to some issues with Apple. Some rumour about large backlog at iTunes and also it appears that when claiming the vouchers some of them were reported as already registered with iTunes Store. Nice lady in Morrisons asked me to leave it a few days and it should get sorted.
I phoned my local Morrisons today to be told that iTunes vouchers were back on sale (hooray!) but the 2 for £20 deal was no longer on offer! Apparrently nothing to do with Morrisons but an Apple problem.
I was looking forward to having a reduced price Navigon on my iPhone too!!
