Hi everyone,
Just spotted the rubber case for the A10 on sale here:
http://www.trailblazeroutdoors.co.uk/product/3804/Satmap_Rubber_Case
Colours: Black, green, orange, or sand.
Click on the pic in the link for a larger view.
Site currently says "Very low stock - selling fast".
Regards,

I tend to agree,RRP of £40 for a silicone case seems a little overpriced to me,£20-25 would seem more than reasonable.
Plus,if you buy it from Satmap, there is £5 postage on top
I wonder if it fits the Active10 without the screencover as I tend to use mine without it and cover the inner scren with a Zagg.
Come on someone buy one and report back.

Looks like good kit.
Hopefully Amazon will soon bring some sense to the pricing. |

The picture isnt so clear, but it looks like this case cant be used with a bike mount, that will be very disappointing, to say the least!
Can someone who buys, please post an overview?
Thanks |

I wrote to satmap today to see if this was one of thier products and if so when it would be available this is what they said.

I spoke to Satmap in local shop on tour. The new case didn't have a launch date then, however he did say the case does add a lot of bulk to the satmap unit. It wouldn't fit into the standard case etc. |

Just for fun....do people think the case, when released, will look just like the one the OP spotted or will be noticibly different. I just keep thinking about Satmap's phrase, '...this is not a Satmap product **currently** available.' |

As soon as I spotted this post I jumped in without thinking and put in an order. I got an automated confirmation email from Trailblazer Outdoors which included the advice to contact them if the goods didn't turn up within three days. Nothing came so I emailed them having in the meantime seen the other posts on this thread regarding the origin of the product. Also, the Trailblazer webpage now said "Expected 2010" This is the reply I got: "This is a Satmap product which they have basically let us down on - we expected them min [sic] November but they did not bother to let us know that they were now releasing it next year instead. Very sorry about this."
This obviously doesn't fit exactly with what Satmap seem to have implied, as reported above - ? So I guess we'll just have to wait and see. |
