Thanks to the forum for the heads up on Copilot live NA - At £ 11.99 I think its a bargain!

I'm planning to go to the States next year but understand that you are not allowed to attach devices in California to the windscreen using suction cups.

Has anybody got any recommendations for iphone car cradle devices and attachments that can be used in hire cars in California.

Thanks in advance

Josh

Have search on Google or Bing, I remember seeing a report that the law has changed in some States to allow one device. Not sure if California was one of them.

The California issue was much hyped and exaggerated. So long as you site it sensibly in the lower left hand corner of the windscreen and not slap bang in the middle where it could obstruct your view you will have no issues.

The actual legislation has specific guidance on where they can be fitted:

Quote:
lower 7-inch corner farthest away from the driver or in the lower 5-inch corner closest to the driver.

So left hand bottom corner for driver use and you will be fine.
