As per subject, if you want the latest postcode files to go with the v845 maps then click this link and extract the resultant files to your device:
Download Here - Strange URL but what the heck! - Mike
(Topic heading edited to reflect v845 release - MA)

Mike
Are these the versions on the x50 out of the box?
Or do they get a v9 postcode file? |

Thanks Mike,
The older file is larger than the new one, but the problem postcode I used to have is now OK.

My 950 has the same postcode files on it so one can assume the devices that are shipping will also contain these v835 postcodes - Mike |

Bump. I too am curious as to why there's a "new" v835 when v901 has been around for a while. |

franb the 835 refers to the ZIP folder just for post codes not to be confused with maps. Even the latest map update for some released today still only has version 701 ZIP within its details others will know if there is a 901 in existence. |

v901 postcode files have been around on certain dubious websites for a good few months.
Has anyone actually had a NEW device supplied through official channels with v901 postcode files on them?
My XL LIVE came with v801 4 months ago direct from TT.
If x50s are coming with v835 on them then where have the v901 files come from?
As a general rule of thumb the UK postcode file has got smaller with each release as I believe that postcodes only used for PO boxes and similar dummy addresses have been getting removed with each release. I may be wrong though ............ |

Map updates do not include postcode files.
With the previous version of HOME postcode files used to get offered to you automatically, I have never seen this happen with HOME v2.
Why TT don't make postcode updates available through HOME is beyond me - what is the point of subscribing to new maps if your postcodes are 2 years out of date??? |
