Glad you like it , but remember that isn't a normal Navcore 9 installed to the 940 it was for the Fiat BlueMe version intended for a 750 - Mike |

The TT v9.022 software for the 950 4GB will run on the 940 . I assume it was also designed to run on the 940 as it has the Jukebox and FM settings which do not exist in hardware on the 950.
I guess the only reason that TT have not officially distributed it for the 940 is that the 940 with it is better than the 950 and that is not good news for 950 sales. _________________ Drivelux |

So where have you seen "Vehicle Profile" and the ability to set vehicle type based upon weight/ width/ axle loading etc and vary the presented route depending upon the vehicle parameters and have mp3 player/ FM Tx working or Bluetooth A2DP for mp3 playback? Is that stock 950? - Mike |

With the exception of the vehicle type, these features all work on the 940 with 950 software. The 750/blue me software is the same except it adds the vehicle type and everything else also works on the 940. As I do not need the vehicle type feature I use the 950 version.
These are all genuine TT software versions without any hacks or patches.
They both have the annoying feature of downloading the phonebook from the handsfree mobile everytime it connects and i cannot find the option to stop this.
It also has the feature of when it cannot connect to the TT servers of deciding that you do not have Live Services and gives up trying to connect. This is good if you want to use TMC (it works) but bad if you want it to keep retrying for the Live Services. _________________ Drivelux |

A quick enable/disable Flight mode kicks it back into search mode if you have Live services, it normally connects first time once this is done!
Not tried the BLue&Me version yet (My Fiat 500 has Blue&Me) but still waiting on the firmware update to make the cars Blue&Me compatible with the TomTom Blue&Me - (Currently only works on the Punto), - Looking forward to trying it though as the current Blue&Me satnav unit in the 500 powered by Navigon is abysmal |

I have been using the flight mode trick on the 940 & 950 software. I don't know which is better, the 940 software which downloads the traffic information and does not update for a long time or the 950 software which downloads the traffic information and when it finds it cannot update removes the information it already has leaving you with none and also disables the other live services until the flight mode trick is used.
I noticed using the 950 software when I turn into a country lane it flashes an icon of a lorry with a question mark in it.
I cannot get rid of the phone quick menu icon even when I deselect it in options, unless I delete the bluetooth pairing.
It may be a coincidence but the orange charge light on the button has not turned green since the 950 software.
Some 30mph TT cameras have the annoying habit of showing as 19mph cameras in the warning icon.
I have reverted to V8 on the 940 to try out the new maps and will go back to V9 in the future _________________ Drivelux |

A quick word of caution before you install this, in the root of the download there is a file named "system" which is just under 1 MB in size, deselect this prior to extracting the files to the device or MicroSD card, if you don't do this your bootloader will get incremented which isn't possible to undo, the bootloader uplift isn't needed to get this working on a 940 - Mike |
