|
|
I am trying to find a POI list for jet wash facilities.
I have just bought a motorhome, and it would really useful to be able to locate a nearby jet wash from time to time.
Has anyone found such a POI?
Thanks ... |

What about the "IMO ARC" poi? Or are they drive throughs that the van won't go through? _________________ Jock

I wouldn't risk putting a motorhome through an automated car wash, even were it small enough ...
There are too many external fitments.
Jet wash is the only answer. |

Jet wash is the only answer. | Sounds like a sensible category. Make note of your local ones and submit those, hopefully others will do the same with their locals. I can think of 1 or 2 near me that are dedicated Jet Washes, but I'd also have to check the local petrol stations to see if they had a bay as well as an automated system.
It occurs to me that off-roaders and bikes will want to use jet washes too, so a search of other forums specific to those interests might turn up something. _________________ Jock

I'm happy to start the ball rolling ...
How do I submit details of the couple that I know about near where I live? |

Go here. As well as the form, you'll find several help links. I suggest reading them all, but I think you'll find "Submit a POI to a new Category/Subcategory" particularly relevant. _________________ Jock

Info please....
What's the best way to add our own locations to this while it's still uppermost in people's minds?
It doesn't look as if the new category has appeared yet (I know it probably needs manually setting up by admin.)
So should I report mine in yet another "new category" or wait until the other one gets set up? (presumably as a sub-section of "Car Servicing" as that's where the IMO ARC ones are). |

Tut tut Andy. Rome wasn't built in a day.
They were only submitted at 12 noon, but you could always add then as Other POI and I'll get to them in turn. _________________ Richard

I wasn't getting at you at all, promise!
I just wondered whether it was easier for you if we waited until you'd set up the category or not. |

Just emailed CSV files for 701 jetwash locations across Murco, Sainsburys, Total and Tesco service station locations.
These have been sourced from the respective companies' web sites.
That should bump it up a bit! |

Jet wash is the only answer. | I'm sure that at one of the IMO/ARC washes that I passed this week (Bolton/North Manchester) had a power wash bay. _________________ Jock
