3rd POSTING in 5 weeks - same question - all my camera icons have been replaced with pushpins, and I am unable to re-install the icons, even removed complete database and installed again but I am unable to insert any of the icons into Navdesk, no problem with database installation that works fine.
Must be someone who can give me a clue please. |

There are two possible reasons for this: either your unit can't display the icon that you supplied (wrong format, wrong number of colours, corrupt file, etc) or it can't find the icon file (icon file missing or path in the Custom POI database does not match the actual location of the icon).
What did you do to "completely remove the database"? When was it that you first noticed your icons gone? Have you done something to the unit prior to icons disappearing? |

Hi Ratbert.
Thanks for your response its much appreciated.
The problem first occured about 4 weeks ago when I did an update, I would say I have had the database working ok for the last 12 mths with no problems, but after updating it about 4 weeks ago all of the icons were gone and replaced with pushpins when I next used it.
So far I have uninstalled the PGPS database and reloaded to no avail, also I have removed the whole Navman map etc. database and reloaded that as well. As I have been doing the updates for many months I cannot think I am doing it wrong, but have read the instructions again. I only use the mobile cams database at this time as I use the free Navman database which was included with the unit - this was updated recently.
Nothing else has been done on the unit - saying that, it did crash 3 times on a 123 mile trip in Sept, 1st time since purchase.
Thank you for your time, if you can assist please reply in laymans terms - I am a oap and not to PC literate I'm afraid. Thanks |
