I have a XL IQ Europe and have just been offered Navcore 9.002 (I think it was .002?). Has anyone else been offered this? I downloaded it and my unit would not boot, so have reverted to 8.415.

Just ran my device (See Sig) through Home and haven't been offered any upgrade. _________________ Graeme Bennett

tafrost, did you mean v9.022?
v9.022.457677.2 OS 438558 (1005. 5/11/2009) has been offered by Home for a couple of days now, for the GO x50 LIVE models, GO x50 models, ONE IQ Routes and XL IQ Routes (but not the standard XL or XL LIVE).
It "should" work!
Graeme2812 - see above list!

Yes that could well have been that. I didnt take that much notice, just clicked ok to update?! All I got when I installed it was the TT logo on a black screen. Will have another go..... |

Always worth trying a reset if it doesn't boot properly after an update.... |

Its on there now :-) Anybody noticed any major changes? - All I have seen is the anywhere button on postcode searching. |

So I take it you don't get the lovely new status bar as per x50 range then?
How disappointing - why bother calling it Navcore 9 if it still looks like Navcore 8??????? |

When running on 940, you get the new status bar.
In addition, you get the new animations when changing screens etc. |

I bet it gives you not only the "new" (old) anywhere postcode search, but also TTS!!
I suppose I'd better give it a try, but it's such a pain rolling back every time!
PS Animations? What's this then? Doesn't that mean it slows down instead of getting on with it? Like the pauses in map update as you drive along? _________________ Dennis

the technical term is 'eye-candy' :D
instead of the next menu just appearing after pressing a button, it will scroll/slide into view!

It sort of works on the 940 and gives it the 950 features plus the FM & Jukebox. However it appears that is does not enable the Live Services username and password to be stored so unless you quickly go to "my account" and enter these before it tries to use the Live Services, it will disable the traffic bar and live services but this then allows you to use the RDS-TMC.
Reverting to the old connect2internet files cures this logon issue. _________________ Drivelux |

Just to clarify, for anyone who was wondering, version 9 software has NOT been officially released for the x40 models yet. |

Does anyone have a clue as to whether Navcore 9 would work on an x20?
