Does it use the same database as is updated every week as same as the one i use in my Mio c510.
Would you know if it can beconnected to the cigarette lighter socket and be used as well as being charged if connected by a cable , the reason being the battery last for only 5 hours and sometimes you need longer.

If you use our database then yes it uses that and is updated regularly.

Yes it can be charged whilst in-use. You would require a USB male to female cable if you wished to have it on the dash whilst charging. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren,
Purchased a Inforad K1 tonight and really pleased with the unit it works a treat thank you.
Is the database I have down loaded from their website the same as the one I would download from your site and is it updated every Wednesday as well.
Sorry about all the questions.

You'd be better asking Inforad. They licence our data, how frequently they use it and update their database is a question I can't answer and there is no way for me to check their data to find out. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi Darren,
It looks like they update their database every month,
is there a way for me to download the database weekly from
your site and loadit into the K1 on a weekly basis like i have been
doing on my Mio.

Did they tell you what date?
Would be good to know the cycle, to know when to run an update. |

No, Inforad use a proprietary database format and their own loader. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Just spoke to Inforad technical support and they have told me
the database is updated every Friday evening every week so if this is the case its O.K. |
