|
|
In our company we have several people who have just upgraded to 3.03.
Without exception they all have the same problem with the new software. This is what happens. They set a destination and provided they stick rigidly to the instructions, than all is OK. However on one route the instruction tells them to turn right when leaving an office. The problem is that you cannot turn right as it is a one way street. Now if you turn left then the software deos not 're-route' and no further audible instructions are received. I have tried this at other places and the same thing happens.
So we have now reverted to the original version and all is OK.
Has anyone else experienced this? |

Strange that you should mention this because I have just spoken to a friend and he has experienced the same problem. I have noticed that this also happens when using the postcode facility. After a journey I have to do a soft reset, clear the journey details and then continue, If I go off route then I lose the voice and the display just shows my location.
I will try your idea and revert to the original software.

I have not experianced this with one way streets. However at other times when I 'stray' from Tomtoms chosen route it usually recalculates very quickly.

The one way street was only an example. What I tried to get across was that when you deviate from the original route, the program does not set up a 're-route' |

Stating the obvious - have you set "automatic re-planning" under the advance tab in properties? |

If you mean 'automatic re-planning' then the answer is 'YES' |

I;ve tried to 'break it' in the way you have described, but it works perfectly, quickly recalculating the route.

I have tested and have no problems re-routing. Continoulsy went off following different routes. Even took the M6 toll, so it showed me wandering off the mapped roads, until it recalculated to a road nearby (continusly as I follwed the M6 toll), then re calculated when I rejoined the normal motorway.
usually happens quite quick, I used the strict routing. _________________ IPAQ 2210 Rom 1.00 CF 512MB

Obviously something is wrong then but all I can say is all of the staff have the same problem except 1. The systems were installed individually and were done by the folks themselves. Strange! |
