OK I've just renewed my Traffic subscription and got an email about activating the service.
However unless I'm being compeletly blind I don't have these options, its a TT500 by the way.
Here are the steps from the email:
Activation instructions Traffic
Please follow the below steps to activate your new Traffic subscription:
Switch on your device
Tap on map to enter the Main Menu
Tap on Change preferences
Tap on My TomTom account
Login with your TomTom account
Follow the instructions
Is there any way to determine if a service has been activated? |

At what stage does your menu differ from the instructions?
Do you have Bluetooth enabled and your phone connected?
What version software are you running? |

Sorry Andy should have added this info.
Anyway
Yep BT on and phone connected
App version is 7.903 and V835.2420 of UK and Ireland map
Can't find step 4 'MY TomTom Account'
There is Edit TomTom PLUS account but that only allows input of account details i.e. userID and password |

I'd have thought that your "Edit TomTom PLUS account" menu item is exactly the same as "My TomTom Account" - they are always mucking about with the names on the menus.
I must admit I've never used GPRS Traffic, I've only ever had RDS-TMC and LIVE HD Traffic, but if you enter your account name and password (or have them already entered), doesn't it normally just start working?
Do you get the traffic sidebar? |

OK I think I see whats caused the confusion here the mail said 'how to activate your new subscription'
Well this is a renewal so it should just carry on.
Yes getting the side bar but as the existing doesn't run out till Friday I'd expect to have this anyway.
Just been checking my old messages and last time I renewed the message said the service would continue.
Typically couldn't find this message for over a hour and as soon as I post on here I find the damm thing.
Anyway thanks for your help. I'll post again if it decides to stop after Friday. |
