I'm currently using my TomTom GO 530 with my Nokia N95 8GB to get traffic updates. This set up is working very wel for me.
I want to upgrade to an Iphone 3G and want to know if it is possible to to use the iphone to get traffic updates.
Anyone know?
Thanks in advance |

No it won't work as the iPhone doesn't support the Bluetooth DUN profile so all you get is basic handsfree via the TomTom no data connection is possible - Mike |

Thanks Mike - that's prevented a mistake on my part. Looks like I'll be upgrading to a Nokia N86 or E71 instead.
Cheers

You could consider a cheap phone for data connections i.e. an old phone that does work with a PAYG SIM fitted and get a decent phone for main usage, not ideal but a few people do this.
The iPhone with a decent application installed can give the x30 TomTom a good run for its money, Navigon is still my favourite app but factor in the additional costs of a powered mount and bluetooth kit for the car as the iPhones speaker is pathetic - Mike |

Much improved on the the 3GS. I'm as deaf as a post but TomTom instructions are plenty loud enough on mine. |

Might be an idea - is there a list of what phones work with Tomtom Bluetooth data connections anywhere?
