I am afraid that it is not practical, as the GPS needs power to provide a signal and it get that from the cigar lighter. _________________ Mike Barrett |

There are essentially 3 different ways to connect a GPS to your PDA: Wired (also known as serial), CF/SD, or Bluetooth. The later 2 derive thier power from either the PDA, or from thier own battery source. The former is normally used in a car and gets its power from the cigar lighter.
The exception to this is when you connect a traditional handheld GPS such as a Garmin to the PDA. This is still wired, but the GPS has it's own power supply. _________________ Mike Barrett |
