Hi Guys,
Always keep my 930T updated via TomTom Home and have never had a problem before with updates.
But now, it takes 3 or 4 starts of the TomTom before it'll pick up satellites. If I leave it to find them itself, it'll take anything up to 20 minutes. Frustrating!!
I have removed the satellite position files from the unit, doesn't make any difference.
If put the latest satellite position files in, it's exactly the same.
Interestingly, once it'd found the satellites, I can turn it off and on all day and it'll pick them up straight away.
Also, if I turn it on and off a few times, on one of those restarts, it may pick them up straight away.........
I have a heated screen in the car but it always used to be okay, however, I have had a new one fitted and whether it's a coincidence, my mind tells me it started doing this around the same time.
To throw in a curve ball on the screen issue, it does exactly the same out of the car..... _________________ From TomTom One to a 730T, then a 930T, now a 1005...

If a reset of the unit doesn't help, then besides deleting the contents of the ephem folder on the unit, also delete all the sub-folders found here:
C:\documents and settings\yourname\my documents\TomTom\Home\Downloads\Complete\ephemeris\
Now connect to Home and see if an updated gpsquickfix file straightens things out. _________________ David
