I haven't used my TT1 for over a year as I've been working out the country. I have a USB cable which provides power to the unit and also conects it to my PC. The green light comes on but it will not switch on. When I start up TT Home on the PC it states no device fitted. I've tried the reset using a pin and holding the on/off button on for about 5 secs, but nothing. I've got it still hooked up to the PC but there's no obvious way to tell if the battery is charging or not. Any advise would be welcomed, thanks. _________________ Steve |

Keep it connected to the computer for about 4 hours and see if there is a charge then. Also, the usb port on the computer is best if one in the back of the cpu rather than the front.
Also, the charge from a car charger is usually stronger than that from a computer so, if you can, you might instead connect to the car charger for a few hours. _________________ David |

Wife's just got home with the car; plugged it in and away it went, so looks like my lead PC lead is kaput. good news is I've got sound back. Guess I've got to get a new lead so I can update speed camera database.
Edit: Weird...just plugged it in to the PC for a last try and it's working. Maybe connecting to the car gave it a kick up the arse ! _________________ Steve |

That's probably just what happened.
The car charger can deliver well over an amp of charging current, but the USB connection from the PC is limited to half an amp. Normally that's enough to keep the battery "trickle charged", but if it was really discharged, it might not be enough. |
