I have an iPAQ 2210 and the Initial display and subsequent start menu have white print on the pale blue Windows background. This shows up very poorly in bright light. All the pictures I see of PDAs have black print on blue. Is there any way I can change this?

Start... settings...Personal...Today...Appearance.
You can also download themes from the web or create your own with the theme generator. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for your reply Lutz. I couldn't see how to change the colour of the text. I was able to choose another, darker, background called spirals, and the white print shows upbetter on that. But I don't see how to get black print on the pale blue background, which is wha all the PDA illustrations seem to show!

That's where the theme generator enters the stage. Alternatively you can use programs like NyDiTot that also allow you to change system features like fonts and colors. And, if you are very brave, you can do it manually in the registry. _________________ Lutz

Theme Generator is a free download from Microsoft here and allows you to create your own custom theme's or alternatively 'tweak' the colours of an existing theme. _________________ Darren Griffin

The link you supplied took me to...
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/resources/downloads/pocketpc/themegenerator.mspx
However, it doesn't work for me. I get a Microsoft page which tells me the following...

Looks like they've had a re-org at Microsoft again. I've corrected the original link in the post above with the new address but for future reference just visit www.pocketpc.com and look for PowerToys in the PocketPC downloads section. You'll find Theme Generator there _________________ Darren Griffin |
