Hello all,
Im interested in the speed camera database as the Cyclops price is a bit steep!
I did a one off download of PGPSW many moons ago on my old Nuvi 360T.
It worked great the only thing I didn't like was the warnings on the top red banner came up, "pocketgps_40_mobile" or something along those lines, where as the Cyclops just gives a nice neat, "Mobile 40Mph".
I know this seems trival to some but hey there you go!
So my question is do they come up like this on the Nuvi 765T?
I have searched the forum trying to find the answer but Im either missing it completely or it's not been asked before.
Many Thanks in advance

I've edited the post title to make it clearer what you are after.
I don't use a Garmin and don't have one to hand so can't answer your question but there are many Garmin users so I'm sure someone will be along shortly to answer the question _________________ Darren Griffin |

It's just the same "40 mph Speed Alert" warning, so it might be better to consider the Consolidated Database. That way you get the speed limit in the warning and the camera type from the icon. The Speed Zoned Database will just duplicate the information.
The alert is always grey unless you are over the speed limit where it turns red. The alert is the same regardless of camera type.
If you use Ash10s Camera Manager program you get the "Alert: GATSO:1234#40" warning though...
Tested on a Garmin 765T.... |

Excellent thank you very much for your info!!
Just one last question now what do you mean by Consolidated Database?
Is this something to do with the sub-categories?
Many Thanks

Consolidated Database: Cameras are grouped by type and has fewer categories. Icons indicate camera type.
Speed Zoned Database: Cameras are grouped by speed and type. Has many more categories. Icons indicate speed limit and type. |

Excellent! Thank you very much for your help.
I thought the Consildated one didn't give the speed limit of the camera!
But you've cleared it all up for me!
Thanks again

Consolidated will indicate the speed on screen but not on the icon. Speed Zoned does both on screen and icon.
Looking back my previous posting is probably not that clear. It's just i preferred the Consolidated Database. |
