Hi all
I recently found this site which I have been impressed with........mainly does all the things I need plus can switch 'follow road' on and off when planning a route to go 'off road'.
www.bikehike.co.uk
What do people think ?
Regards

As you say it seems to do all the things most of us require. I have not had much time to test it in depth but on the whole it looks like a winner.
Thanks for posting the link. _________________ I can cope with fantasy, It's reality that has me beat.

I used the site to plan a short bike ride for last night. It worked well and the resulting .GPX file imported into the Active10 just fine. Again, not a comprehensive test - but it does seem to work. Probably a very good alternative to the Satmap planner if you have to pay for it. I wonder how these people pay for the licence? _________________ Phil |

Hi,
Yes, it's a great website. I bike, hike and I'm a map geek so it was always going to be a winner, and I've used it frequently over the last year or two. The altitude profile is particularly good for a free online map service. Likewise the large display of an OS map (may need to "toggle map sizes" to see what I mean).
They have (or at least had) a limited daily viewer license so there would be times (especially weekends) were the site had exceeded the hit limit and OS map would not show. So don't go telling everybody about it!!
