Andy_P,
I have just updated Home to the 1825 version, like yourself, but I am still plagued by the blasted advert instead of the info. I am curious that your screenshot shows '1 of 3' pages, mine only shows 2 pages. BTW I have a lowly 520, could that be the reason for that anomoly? Perhaps a full restart of computer and TomTom will bring it into line. Why O why do TT support tell us a load of old shoe menders?

Page 3 just has a link to run "Tyre", so if you don't have that on your system you'd only get 2 pages.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with your 520, I just tried it again with my 720 and my son's 520 and still got the Mapshare counter window.
And unlike Anita, I STILL got it even after running "update" and getting some more MapShare corrections, even though there is a newer map than mine available! |

So! Is it the map version not the Home version which decides whether we get useful info or advertising garbage?
I tried a restart on everything and got no better result.

Appologies, either I wasn't paying attention, or Home has just changed its spots again!!
My maps are all v830 and my son's are v815.
I've just tried them all again and mine are still showing the Mapshare counter, but his *is* showing the Update service advert this time!
What version maps are you on?
But as I said, there are definitely newer maps then mine, so I don't understand why it isn't showing me the advert.
I don't think *anyone* knows how Home works really! |

And I've got the latest maps and it is showing me the advert! _________________ Anita

Just to confirm... it's each particular Navcore software version on the TomTom itself which requires a new .dll file download in order for the "Operate my Device" emulator to work.
It doesn't usually matter which Home version or map version are involved. |

Yes that explains it, that's probably about the time I last remember seeing it working, before the update to 8.370.
So basically TomTom are that inept that they can't develop and release both the new Navcore and new DLL at the same time?!
Is TT just a bloke sat in his bedroom programming part time??
Cheers Andy - feeling calmer now, rage subsiding |

Ironically, it has just started working on my 740 for the first time with the most recent update to Home for Mac. |
