I can not get the app to navigate to a Contact. At first I thought that it was a lack of zip code. I think that I discovered something. I added a zip; still no luck. Then I looked at my Favorites. I had entered them as an address, but they were saved by TomTom with the street # after the street name, not the way we do it in the US.
This must be the problem. |

Have a read of my post Here it covers what I did to get contacts working on the ones I could be bothered to alter! - I don't use the TomTom application on the iPhone very often as its not too hot compared to the others that are available - Mike |

Yes, I saw your post. For US format addresses I would need to redo all my contacts.
I have contacted TomTom with this issue, but I have not heard back yet. I will post their response. I'll probably have to wait for an update to this app.

My contacts are in the accepted UK format and TT will navigate to them correctly.
It would be useful to know if this issue only affects PC users. Is there anyone with a Mac using Address Book who has an issue? _________________ Darren Griffin |

But earlier you said Quote: | For US format addresses I would need to redo all my contacts. |

I meant that I would have to separate the street number from the street name. This is not the standard US format.

Nor is it the UK format, I have addresses in the following format
12 Acacia Avenue
Anytown
Anywhere
County
PostCode
And they work perfectly. That is our accepted UK Address Format _________________ Darren Griffin |

If you enter a favorite in the TomTom app by searching for the address, what is the format of the address once it is saved in the app? Is the street number placed after the street name?

I don't have it to hand at the moment but IIRC you can't see an address in the favourite, just the name you assigned to it? _________________ Darren Griffin |

You can edit favorites and see the address.

Ok so can't you answer your own question? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I would hope that I can't answer my own question; what would be the point of asking?

Going around in circles here! You asked what format the address was saved in as a TT favourite.
You then later said you could access the address of a favourite.
So why can't you see the format? I'm trying to help but you're making it very difficult here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Please look at the first post in this thread. My question was and is "I can not get the app to navigate to a Contact."
