I have been using your skin for a long time and enjoy it very much.
Recently I noticed that house numbers are in wrong sides (left/right).
I remember it was OK in the past, but I did two changes:
Using 6.0.22 (and not 21)
Although it is not supported, the skin works fine with PDA July 3 iGO8.3.2.97313
(Portrait)
Maybe the bug was fixed by iGO?

It appears that iGO have changed the house number sides, this doesn't correct the bug, it still means that if you drive in one direction down a road the street numbers will be on the correct side and if you drive down it in the other direction the street numbers will be on the wrong side.

I checked in two places.
In both cases the numbers were on the wrong side no matter which way I was driving.

That's not what I found when I checked with iGO PDA Version July 3 8.3.2.97313. I found that on the same road if you drive in one direction the numbers are correct and if you drive in the other direction the numbers are wrong.

Maybe it's also dependant on the map version, supplier and country. I've tested it on the UK TeleAtlas 2009.02.1 map.

Can you provide a road and location so that I can check it out ?

Re-checked, and you are right.
Do we have to live with that?

I couldn't find a solution for it, so it looks like you just have to live with it, or complain to NNG which is probably a waste of time anyway.

First I would like to say that I love your Ultra skin. It works great! I have been using it for a while, and there are a couple of suggestions which i think would make the skin even better.

The first, I have seen that in some skins, when you go to POI along route, It will tell you on the right side of each listing how far from the route you will have to travel to get to the location. While the green/yellow/red triangles do tell you an aproximate, I think a numerical figure would be great.

Second, there is a difference which I have noted when finding a POI via the quick detour option, and the formal find POI from the main menu option. When you go from the quick poi, when you select the POI, the next screen in the split screen map / "Navigate to" screen. When you go through the formal POI from main menu, When you select the POI, it will first show the Info screen for the POI, and then when you select it, it will show the split screen. I would wondering if it was possible to have that info screen from the quick search menu. The reason being, which is economy, businesses are closing all the time, and I like to call the business before going to the POI. One way I have found which works for another skin is that when you have the POI listing, if you click on the title it will take you to the split screen directly, (so no info is shown, ), but on click on the "i" on the right of the bar (this is where the distance off route is also shown), and it will take you to the info screen for that POI first, and then you can select it, taking it to your split screen.

I would like to thank you for all the work that put into this skin, and just thought to share some ideas with you, (Since I have no idea how to program).

Thanks

I included this in the previous 5.x version of the Ultra Skin together with a compass showing the direction of the POI. However the compass only really gave any meaningful results when you were travelling on a reasonably straight route since it only showed the direction of the POI in relation to your own direction of travel. Furthermore, the distances from the route are calculated, as far as I can determine, as a straight line approximation at 90 degrees from the route. So since neither of these were very accurate I decided not to include them in version 6.x of the Ultra Skin. The coloured arrows are also an approximation and I previously calculated the distance bands for each colour and posted it somewhere, although I can't remember where.

I think that the iGO thinking behind this is that the quick detour is designed to be used on the move, to find a petrol station for instance, so needs the least number of steps to find and set the POI as a detour. The phone number is still accessible if required by tapping the info button from the split screen and then expanding the information by tapping the actual POI (the one at the top of the list). The formal POI search is for when you are stationary and are able to go back and forth between the POI list and the details, make phone calls if neccessary, until you find the exact POI that you require.

Regards

But it does not return, that's the problem!
I've tested again, was waiting for 5-6 min. and no return to overview Sad

Yes, I think you're right. I've looked through the code again and it looks as though it will only switch back into overview mode after it detects a non-overview followed by another valid overview situation.

I'm not sure that it can be changed but I'll have a look at it.

linknet,

Did you find time to look at that?

I did have a look at it but unfortunately couldn't find any reasonably simple way of doing it and then forgot to post this reply.

I've recently put iGo 8.3.2.83157 on MyGuide 3100. I have also copied the Ultra skin in the Igo8\content\skin folder but it does not take any effect. Any ideas?

Is it available for selection in the skin menu ? What screen resolution is a MyGuide 3100 ?

Oops! I did not realised that I have to select it from the menu. I had another skin on 8.0 previously, which I guess was defaulted there. It works now. Thanks a lot!!!

How about a version with support for resolution 480x272.

I could do some tests if needed.

TIA
