Hi;
speaking after some time.
had been using my old tt5 on axim 51 since 2005? no major probs until recently.
tt5 caused major freeze with axim. tried un installing and installing again from the sd card twice and then resetting the axim. once the tt loading page comes it freezes.
once it freezes tt5 causes axim not to power off as well with power off button. had to press reset button.
please help if you know how to correct this?
many thanks

Have you tried hard resetting the Axim? this will wipe out all programs and settings etc stored on the device but it will return the PDA to the same condition when new?
Then try re-loading the TomTom software, if you need a link to try downloading a fresh coppy of TTN 5,21 which was the last version released just ask as I am sure I have it somewhere, the download will come straight from the server at TomTom, once installed your maps should simply work as they have already been activated on the device - Mike |

Hi Mike;
unfortunately it did NOT work.
tried several times still the old problem. when reloading/installing i tried different order of installing 3 CAB files. lastly what i noticed was as soon as i installed the WZD? cab file pda froze and then immediately powered off on its own. cannot power on with power on button. has to soft reset to switch on with difficulty.
wonder whether something wrong with the cab files?
where do i go from here??
any ideas please |

I thought ther were only two cab files for ttn5,21 I will send you over an e-mail with the cab files attached for you to try, one other strange things I have seen with ttn5x is when it's installed to SD card and there is also a CF card installed this can prevent the app from launching - Mike |

Hi Mike;
sorry i cannot find the email.
i think it may be due to my email blocking the CAB file as it is an executable file! - a gmail pain-
however, if you can send me a test email i will send you another email address which hopefully will accept a CAB file.
sorry
thanks |
