Hi all... just upgraded to latest map on my tt one and, although it might be a coincidence, the tmc-rds unit now only lists " any country, strongest signal" in the options instaed of prior when UK was also listed and it worked when selected. Now the unit just searches and nothing picked-up... I have checked for updated tmc info/system in Home and found nothing. I have sent a report and assistance request to TT but was hoping someone might have a faster answer as I am in the south this weekend and use this a lot when travelling back and forth to N/East. Thanks. TIGERBEAR ( steve)
I have done a reset ( keep start buton pressed when shutting down ) but no change. Ta |

I've never seen countries listed for the TMC-RDS. Mine just works in the UK, France, & Belgium, the only countries where I've used it. _________________ TT Go Essential |

thanks calomax... so your unit has " any country, strongest signal" as the normal setting and it just picks-up wherever you are? Mine had "UK" listed there also and I always selected UK and the unit worked right away, maybe TT have changed the menu now. Now it searches and finds nothing. I even tried inputing the Classic FM frequency manually and nothing happened.. I am wondering if the unit is faulty? thanks for your reply... It has never been dropped and I keep it loosely wound and in a pouch when not in use....
any other thoughts from anyone? thanks for your interest

Mine is the round pin older TMC Ver 013 firmware and I have never seen anything other than Tune Manual Frequency in the menus. It works automatically in UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany so far.

Can you tell us in which menu you are seeing the information you posted as I might be missing this on my TT 720? |

Hi Guys...
the country selection is via the traffic menu either from the tomtom services menu screen or by pressing finger on the staus bar on right of screen then going to change traffic prefferences... after the tick=box screen ( minimise delays etc) the next screen has country selection. Mine used to have both any country and Uk which i had selected.. it worked fine until new map installed.. the only other recent change was to return to Home 2.6 after it upgraded itself and hung the pc for ages every time i used vers 2.7.. thanks for all your interest...

Under change traffic preferences, I get 2 options with tick boxes, "Beep when traffic situation on route changes" and "Tune manually by entering a frequency"
When I select Done, I get another screen "if the traffic situation change and we discover a significantly faster route"
"always switch to that route"
"ask me if I want that route"
"never change my route"
I can select one of them.
I have never seen any country selection options, nor can I find them now. But I'm on a 720, with the mini USB TMC-RDS connector and I don't know the One. Perhaps it has a different set up. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Thanks for reply.... Yes the menu is different... but it means that your unit works in any supported country leading me to believe that my unit has a fault... I shall wait till I am back home ( down in maidstone for a wedding) in stockton on tees and then try it on another TT,, Many thanks to you guys that have helped... cheers.. Tigerbear -- Steve |

Mine has stopped working since map upgrade too. Drove for six hours today and it just searched endlessly :-( It worked fine last week. |
