The 835. part is consistent from model to model. As you correctly point out, the digits after the decimal point vary from model to model to denote the different 835 maps that have released for the respective models. _________________ David |

My 540 has the same problem. No HD Traffic after updating the map. Can you get Google, Weather and update mobile cameras? Only Traffic is missing on mine. |
Exactly the same here TomTom 540, HD traffic missing all other services working. I've called TomTom and have been taken through factory resets, manual deletion of the app. and now they are emailing me details of how to extract some information from the device to send them. |
In exactly the same boat. |
It is a bit of comfort that I'm not the only one with exactly the same problem. Really annoying that we aren't getting the HD Traffic service we have paid for.
Bet we don't get any money back until they have it fixed! |

Has anyone with HD Services problems tried a reset or re-entering their Username and Password into the unit? |

Yes, TomTom Support took me through every permutation of reset, restore, password re-entry etc. No joy. |

I've started a new topic on this. And like I said in previous replies other Live services work so it can't be a user name/password issue. The only Live service missing is HD Traffic.

Has anyone with this problem tried to restore to the previous version to get HD working again? |

I've just restored from my backup and HD traffic is back (although you have to make it check with the server to get it to re-enable it by the looks).

Great, isn't it? New maps released yesterday morning and the topic is up to six pages already - not a lot of praise either. _________________ Dennis

The map update has killed my tomtom XL IQ. Downloaded fine then got stuck installing. Tried a restore and it couldn't cope. After various attempts and reading much guidance I am now trying the 'format internal memory' option as suggested by TT Support Q&A. It has already failed once doing this so I suspect that the internal memory has screwed up.
The most annoying thing was I am going on holiday tomorrow and will have to dig out my Navman F20. Although this is two years old it never failed on me.
Are TT's just too sensitive even when used in strict accordance with their instructions? |

all you really need to do is to delete the map folder and return your BACKUP UP map folder in the same place then all should be OK _________________ TomTom 5001 |

I presume you mean TomTom's instructions!!
Do you have a backup - I mean a PROPER backup created by using Windows Explorer, not the backup "feature" of Home? _________________ Dennis

Hi
I do have a proper backup - but it gets stuck trying to install it. At one point it was saying 13 hours and stopped.
I think the internal memory has pegged it! |
