Version i'm being offered is 835.2419 for those interested...
1825 Mb - that'll take more than 2 minutes even on 10 Mb Cable BB. Think i'll wait until later today or tomorrow when i have an hour free to backup, download and mess about.... |

I suspect if it downloaded in 2 minutes it was a corrupt download.... |

It is well over 2GB now for the W&C Europe and as it downloads I can seen the server slowing down and down as the total time to download increases...... _________________ Drivelux |

My new map download size for the W&C Europe is 1825Mb. That's for a TT720. |

Mine took about 44 mins to download at 0830 this morning.
Watched it go through the install process, and then up came the warnings that map had failed to load etc because of a corupt 'tlx' file, think it was that.
There followed 2/3 mins of swearing and name calling.
I rebooted the 720 and and it shows the latest map as installed. Don't know if it actually works though.
Sat by the window for the last 15 mins with 720 on charge and it has not picked up a signal.
More swearing to follow methinks. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

Well I've downloaded the W&C Europe map for my TT720 and it says that there is not enough memory to install it. I've removed computer Kate and it is now installing to the TT.
Once it is fully loaded, I'll see what I can remove to get computer Kate back on. |

Well it's fully loaded and I don;t see how I can get Kate back on!!!!!
The maps have grown in size from 1774mb to 1796mb and now 1825mb.
After I have removed Kate and installed the latest map, I have 24.1mb free. I need 47mb plus a little extra for routing to get Kate back on.
Items I can remove and not need are:
Canary islands 4.4mb
Jane 0.6mb
Map Overlays 5.9mb
Phone connection settings 0.4mb
Total to remove 11.3mb plus free space of 24.1mb equals 35.4mb, therefore not enough!!!!
Can I copy everyting onto a larger SD card and then boot from there? If so, can the TT720 use 4GB SD cards?

Mine is stuck in a rebooting cycle too.
Checked out the map on tomtom home and theyve added M1 J29A! No changes at all near me though. |

Using the emulator in home seems to have cured the rebooting problem |

Just backed up 510 device then downloaded and installed new map 835.2421 onto my 510.
Interestingly the mapsettings.cfg file has been retained and checking its dates via properties it suggests it was saved and re-installed by the application, so my favourites still work OK.
Everything seems to work so far will of course let you know if there are any apparent problems |

That could be tricky as I don't think the emulator for the latest x40 system update has been released yet, which could mean re-entering all my POI warning settings. _________________ Drivelux |
