|
|
I have had a couple of email chats today with Sygic and have found that they have no re-seller for Mobile Maps (which will work on the Nokia N97) in the UK. I can buy the product from France if I want to and they have provided me with a website. Sorely tempted by this as it seems McGuider is dying and TomTom are wasting my (and everyone else's) time. Anyone seen it running on a Symbian S60R5? _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

They are looking at a distribution network within the UK at present so hopefully it won't be long until it can be purchased here (I have been tempted to buy a few copies for resale within the UK but not gone that far yet). Not ideal at present but part of the pains in moving from the OEM market Sygic used to occupy into the selling your own brand they do now. |

Bite a bullet and bought it from France.
Got a phone call within an hour confirming purchase (in English!!) and that it would be dispatched today and I should get a tracking number by this evening. I'll let you know what happens. _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

Of course - sorry.
It is in French, but not to difficult to work out. Payment via Paypal. http://www.mobileup.fr/
This company's Sygic Mobile sales page:
http://www.mobileup.fr/page46/page46.html
If you do order, it wants €79 for Europe and €15 delivery.
(Transit time : 72 / 96 h
Tracking on internet
Thanks to mention your phone number to be warned of the delivery
Overhead and Shipping costs : 15 euros)
To check compatability use http://www.sygic.com/index.php/en/compatible-devices.html (includes N97!!!)
Works out about £84.00...
Like I said, I'll see what happens. _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

Just come back from holidays and suffering more disenchantment with TT5 (old due to age of PDA which won't run more up to date versions) and so have been interested in Sygic but share availability problems in this post. However, just checked Sygic website and noticed a download link for 'buy now' has appeared! I've not bought but clicking through seems to give all the right options for older as well as current devices for Mobile Maps V9. |
