Hi all,
The New Zealand iTunes App Store now has TomTom app on it and you can see all map regions including Western Europe.
Some info from the app description.
- IQ Routes
- pinch to zoom in and out on the map
contact list access
- POIs and call POI
- safety cameras and speed warnings
- up-to-date map and you can add worldwide locations to suit you
Western Europe is listed as NZ$179.99

The European download looks like a bit more than 1.4GB, while the US/Canada one will be 1.2. I still see no mention of TTS tho.
Assuming the prices are accurate , then the combo app and mount might be as much as the XL Live (seen for 190 euros today). Not a great price point when competing with Navigon, Ci-Pilot Live and iGo, all very worthy apps. _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

The few bullet points I've listed in the first point were really the only features listed. _________________ iPhone 6 - TomTom WE- CamerAlert - Brodit Passive Adjustable mount.

NZ$179? Flippin 'eck that's near £75.00
They'll have a hard time selling at that price given the other options! _________________ Darren Griffin |

At last!,
but at £75 its going to have to be something special - especially if I have to add the cost of a mount to improve reception?
No mention of 'live' services either? |

See any big feature missing besides TTS? Perhaps no ALG either? _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

It does have TTS, they just don't mention it in the features. |

I'd like to think so, but in the list of included voices, there's no TTS ones. It would be very unlike TT not to trumpet a feature like that. _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |
