i've done that a thousand times already..the problem is that after the update it still doesn't work and when i go back into tt home to check it shows that the new software installed size is 9MB whereas the original file size downloaded is 19MB ( if you know what i mean). so there is some problem with the installation. I even tried unzipping the file from tomtom home's download folder and copying onto the device folder but still it shows 9MB..i don't know if it's normal or not? but my guess is the software is not installing properly..... |

Most software downloads are in the region of 10MB (except for the x20, x30 and x40 models which are much larger).
9MB sounds about right. 19MB is the approximate size of the HOME update download. _________________ Richard

Not sure it will make any difference, but have you tried a full system reset.
To do that you hold down the ON/OFF button for about 15 - 20 seconds. You will see a TomTom screen appear and a Drum roll should be heard if it has worked.
Being as the ON/OFF switch is not the best you need to be quite firm with it so to make sure that it is held down for those 15 - 20 seconds. |

Okay, let me have one last think about this.
If you are still missing the ttgo.bif file let me see if I can find a way for you to create one and load it to your ONE. |

I have not used this company. Prices can be quite expensive.
There must be lots of others.
HERE
I would personally contact TomTom, and get them to fix it.
I WOULD REMOVE THE ttgo.bif FILE IF IT HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM BEFORE SENDING IT FOR REPAIR. |

The repairer most often recommended on here is
http://www.satnav-shop.com/ (run by "Eldar" on the forums).
I've used them before and they were excellent. |
