Is there Sat Nav software that is compatible with the Nokia Xpress Music 5800?

Yes, the built in Nokia Maps which gives directions with a subscription, Google Maps (Internet connection e.g.3G needed), Garmin Mobile XT (latest version officially supports the 5800), ViewRanger OS mapping and another that I can't remember the name of but works a bit like Google maps.

I've just had my 5800 a week, and I'm generally pleased with it- Nokia Maps and Google Maps seem to be reliable for what they do, but my priority is Speed Camera warnings- I'm trying Trapster at the moment- it seems to be giving a lot of false positives. One point- there's a big focus on mapping software, and a map on a little screen on the dashboard when I've got my distance glasses on is pretty well useless. I've done some useful navigation with just an arrow and a distance readout- does anyone know of any basic- I'm talking about Garmin eTrex level- GPS clients?

It's possible to use Viewranger in a fairly basic mode, have a look at the "Tripview" screenshot about half way down this page. It's actually possible to make the arrow a bit bigger than shown on that page by moving it to one of the top two boxes on the screen. You can choose to have 4, 6 or 8 boxes on the screen and customise the contents of each box.

This works well on a Nokia 5800.
