Yes, but IIRC you will need a conversion program like GPSBabel to put it in the proper format. _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

POIConverter, from out own Oldie can read the AuitoRoute .AXE files, and export them in several formats. _________________ Richard

This looks like what I need so I have downloaded it to my laptop.
Have had a wee look at it and tried to load a saved journey constructed using Autoroute.
When I try to load the route in to POI Converter the file does not show in windows explorer. I assume this is due to the file extension. POI C looks for .csv files and my saved file is a .axe and the only other option is .axt
Where am I going wrong?
Grateful for further guidance.
TIA |

Thanks.
I did as you said and, after inserting the push pins, I now have a list of 11 journey points shown as Push Pins.
I have a Garmin 760 and so I saved this as a Garmin file. Is this correct? After connecting my Garmin to my laptop how do I get this in to my Garmin? Where should the journey be saved? On the SD card?
Sorry for the dumb questions but this is all new to me. |

The best way to do this is using mapsource. You import them into mapsource from the list that you need to save as a Garmin Database file (.gdb) then select them all, click edit and make a route from selected items.
You then transfer the route to your garmin from mapsource. Now, go to Tools, My Data on the Garmin, Import Route from file and Bingo! |

What is Mapsource?
Have had a look at Garmin website and the download is there. However it will only install if a previous version is found on the PC taking the download. |

If I recall correctly, posts elsewhere in this forum have said that a copy of Mapsource is included in the Garmin Training Database package, which is here.

Apologies
Have you purchased a map upgrade?
If you haven't, apparently you can't have Mapsource on your PC.
If you PM me your postal address, I'll gladly send you a CD with mapSource on it but I'm unsure if it will work until you have a ma pon your PC |

Been real busy of late and want to thank you for your offer. I ended up plotting the route on Garmin unit rather than downloading from MS Autoroute.
It has prompted a question though, how can I use the Garmin unit to its full potential if I cant get access to all the tools e.g. Mapsource?
