|
|
1) I've connected to my mobile phone for handsfree calling but it is also sending across txt msgs - is there any way of limiting it to just calls ?
2) Trying connect an MP3 player via a lead to the Go930 and then play through the FM connection - is this possible as I cannot get it to work. Tried it with a normal MP3 and an ipod though the headphone socket.
3) Doesn't find an Ipod to control when it is connected via the headphone socket - do I need to connect to the Ipod "charging" socket ? |

You can stop it reading the txt messages through options in "Phone preferences".
As for the "audio out" socket, I believe that's all it's for - it's not an audio in. I'm not sure how iPod control works (if it does as all).
To get FM transmissions from your iPod/MP3, it would be better to get a dedicated device or, if your car stereo has an "audio in" socket to use that. _________________ Gerry

Thanks for that - I did work out how to stop it reading the texts but I don';t want them coming through full stop. Is there any way of doing that ? |

As my phone only lets me send txts via the TT and not receive them, I'm not sure what the procedure is for phones that pass them through. _________________ Gerry

No, as Gerry says, that's an OUTPUT socket You can't feed music INTO it.

You need the dedicated iPod control cable (often available in the bargain bins in PC World or Halfords for a pound or two).
The contents of the ipod are then displayed on the TomTom screen just like the internal jukebox and the music can be sent to any of the outputs available on your TomTom (internal speaker, line out, FM or Bluetooth transmitters). |
