Mike, I don't have an easyport mount. The connector on the power cable that was supplied with my 720 is right-angled so points to the back. But, I've only used the beanbag mount with the USB RDS-TMC, and its connector is straight and points straight down. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Other way round?
My original 720 charger has the cable exiting the USB plug to the rear, but my newer chargers for the 940 and the XL have it coming out to the side. |

Anyone tried this one?
http://www.buybits.com/product/sku_3424.aspx
I'm thinking of getting it for my 720 as I do a lot of short trips each day and get fed up removing the suction mount.
From a safety point of view I note the warning about airbags. Keep the mount away from any area where an airbag could deploy, otherwise it could become a lethal projectile if the airbag propels it toward you at warp speed
I hate to see loose equipment anywhere in a car and cringe when I see an umbrella on a back window shelf or seat. Anyone who has ever been in an accident knows how stuff can fly around and injure people. |

This is the first friction mat I've seen for TomTom GO that doesn't use a suction device to mount it. This looks a promising unit but it's not clear from the photos whether you'll get enough clearance at the bottom of the TT GO when the screen is vertical and the mat is sitting on a horizontal dash.
I think the suction mounts on these friction mats is the weak point especially when you move it between cars all the time, any small scratch on the plastic suction surface means you need to replace it with a new disc to make it stick. _________________ "A good scientist is a person with original ideas. Hi folks
just received the Arkon. Not impressed with the adaptor for my TT730. It doesn't fit flush into the TT as the diagram appears and then it sits losely on the Arkon arm.
How do yours fit? _________________ "Keep it Simple, Stupid" |

Mine is a very good fit, it may seem obvious but assuming yours is the same as mine when you look at the bit the Go clips on to, it does look like a "T" and is not on the wrong way up? _________________ Drivelux |

thanx for the reply. I think it's the correct way up, so it then drops onto the arm mech.
But that clip doesn't sit flush to the back of the TT. It just won't press right into the TT.

I take it that your mount plate looks like these? You can see the T shape and it orientation in these pictures.
They seem to list different parts for the various Go's but I thought they were identical mounts, particularly in the same range. _________________ Drivelux |

Maybe I got the wrong adaptor thing. It looks the same as in the photo though.
It's not a huge issue but it doesnt sit flush in the TT. _________________ "Keep it Simple, Stupid" |

720 Owners - beware.........
I have a reconditioned 720 bought in May this year. I have checked the windscreen mount supplied with my set and the arm is not long enough to get the power plug in etc when positioned in the middle of the dash. I would need to position the unit of the edge of the device.......
So I'm now looking for the beanbag and attachment...... |

My Mums got an old TomTom Go One. Will the Arkon Non-Skid / Friction Style Weighted Dash Mount work with it?
Thanx |

It will work as long as you can get the correct adaptor plate for it. _________________ Drivelux |
