Hello,
When entering my password I miss typed it and was booted off.
I now find that when I try to enter the password an tap Ok the process hangs and then the PPC after a time switches off.
I get the impression that the machine is rejecting things because more than a requisite number of 'tries' have been made.
A soft re-set results in a blanlk screen which then changes to the password page and the whole process starts again.
Any ideas please as to how to resolve this.
Thank you. |

Hard Reset I would have thought
OK you have to re load everything, but at least you will be able to use the thing, which you can't now

I was wondering about that but have no idea how to do it.
When I bought it the Win 2003 os was already installed.
There is a backup on the s/card, but how to getto it?
Pointers welcome |

WM2003 is part of the ROM and therefore will still be there after a hard reset.
To Hard reset: press- contacts (button1) + iTask (button4) + the reset button at the back, all at the same time and hold until the backlight fades and the unit switches off. Then press the reset button again to start up. |

Should I remove the s/card before doing this or is it OK to leave it in situ? |

Thank you all for your help.
Got it going again and backup has restored it all.
For a moment there I feared that I had a very small, very expensive pile of junk.
I shall be more careful in the future. |
