Hi all
Last week bought Go 740, and have updated it to the latest application and maps. So it is app version 8.351 (9988/090518) and map v830.2305)
It worked OK with regards to HD traffic and other Live services for the first few days after the purchase, but HD traffic and other services were unavailable for a few hours some three days ago.
Again since this afternoon, Live services have been unavailable for about 12 hours now. It just says "An error occured on the tomtom server. pls try again" or "unable to connect to server".
So can some one please tell: is it possible that TT live services, worth £8 for users, should remain unavailable for 12 hours?
Is there something wrong with the server really, (not showing on TT website though) or is my unit faulty.
My unit is actually working all right otherwise except this live service problem. Even then, I reset it....just in case but nothing doing.
So any advice please

I have the 54o i was working from home last week i noticed the connections had dropped out a few times but on Sunday it was not working for hours even though it said it was connected.
So hopefully its their end that's at fault. |

May I recommend you both to complain to TomTom about it. You need the live service at the time you are using the device and if you get outages so frequently in one week, it's simply not good enough.
I have no idea how the live services work, but if outages are caused by too many users being connected, it can only get worse as more people join up. If it's down to flaky hardware or software, it too needs fixing. Either way TomTom need to be told about it and you need to lodge a record with them of your problem so that it's on record if you need to take it further. _________________ Dennis
