I have come across a situation where there is a gap on the map on a perfectly good road. It is only about 50mtrs long but obviously the TT will not direct anyone down this route. Can this be sorted on mapshare or is there another way? |

DHN, i think the OP is meaning there is a break in the road, nothing to do with it being blocked or unblocked.
But that there is a piece 'missing'.
If so, then you need to report it as a missing road using mapshare! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

You are correct there is a piece of the road missing. Reported as a missing street on Xl IQ. Nothing has appeared on my device to rectify situation. Unblocking a road nearby has been been altered on my device.
Am I right that the corrections should appear on my device and then be distributed through mapshare? |

Can you post a lat/ long for the specific location, this way we can take a look at the issue on the latest map and feed back the error which would be in addition to using Map Share - Might get it fixed quicker this way, but you never know - Mike |

All that you can do with MapShare is alter the characteristics of the existing road structure (block or unblock, change direction, change speed, change name) That's ALL you can do that will affect your map.
Everything else is just REPORTING it to TomTom, no different to sending them an email or whatever. There's nothing MapShare can do to re-draw the map. It's cannot add sections of roads, move them erase them or anything clever like that.
It's actually very limited, but it was hyped up by TT's marketing department to seem like it can do a lot more. |

Equally, if I unblock a road nearby, it doesn't MapShare onto your XL IQ. The hype doesn't tell you this either! _________________ Dennis
