It's not you.
My Garmin Zumo 550 has much better maps than the TomTom. I'm waiting to see if the August update improves things. If not, I might have to change back to a Nuvi for the car - even though the TT features are MUCH better (display for example).

errors are common ,sometimes the errors are corrected quickly and sometimes they are damn slow ,it's not always tomtom at fault as they depend on the map makers to get things right ..it's something you live with and a bit of common sense prevails sometimes _________________ TomTom 5001 |

You are aware are you not that TomTom's maps are supplied by TeleAtlas, who just happen to be owned by TomTom
You would think owning a mapping company would make things more accurate and quicker to correct. |

Won't do you any good though. You can't change a roundabout to a crossroads, you can't change a crossroads into a roundabout (well, you can slightly, but not properly) and you can't put a road where a road isn't (e.g. going across a field).
Read the forum to find out whether you want to get into map changes. _________________ Dennis

To save you a bit of effort
MapShare allows various map corrections to be made. Some like renaming a street will be displayed instantly.
Others such as setting a completely new road or removing a roundabout that would involve redrawing the map will not be displayed immediately.
In the latter case all you can do is set them to notify TomTom of the change and hope that in 2 or 3 years time they appear in the map
And I am not joking about the wait! I am still waiting for TomTom to convert a roundabout in Reading into a junction for the last three years, and counting! |
