Does anyone know when the PocketGPSWorld iPhone application will be available on the App Store?
I'm driving down to the South of France in a week and a half and it would be great to have this running.
Thanks in advance

If already a subscriber, will we have to pay for the app? _________________ Alan - iPhone 5 64GB, with CamerAlert, TomTom Europe & CoPilot |

Yes, this is entirely separate to any subscription here. Besides as an Appstore app, we could not differentiate between subscribers and non-subscribers. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Given how long Apple take in the approval process and the fact it has not yet been submitted that'd be a no, sorry _________________ Darren Griffin |

As the data can be loaded on up to 3 devices, I would have thought any existing subscription would include iPhone. This could be achieved by having a 'free' version of the iphone app, where it has to sign in to pocketgpsworld initially, thereby verifying the subscription and renewal date (so it wouldnt have to sign in every time). Maybe even a free months trial for new users. For people who don't want to bother with subscribing via the web site, there could be a paid version that didn't need to sign in. In app renewal could then be implemented. _________________ Alan - iPhone 5 64GB, with CamerAlert, TomTom Europe & CoPilot |

The iPhone project is entirely separate. It is not just data as it is here but an application as well hence the decision.
Not only do we think it deserves to be separate but offering a 'LITE' version would open it up to pirates to use with stolen copies of our data .
Given the excellent value that our service already is I don't think it unreasonable that we choose not to give the iPhone app to existing subscribers and the costs will be reasonable. _________________ Darren Griffin |
