Thanks guys for all the info. It seems TomTom did copy protected tab some OneXL's not sure about now.
Total PDA have chased TT as they were never told the re-furbs were like that. I also 4warded them the instruction TT sent me having NOT warned me it might not work BEFORE opening the box.
Will post any outcome.

I'm happy to report that this has now been resolved by TT.
I finally spoke to someone at technical support who seemed to have a good idea what the issue was.
After I was able to provide proof of purchase they enabled me to download an updated version of the map.
I reformatted the sd card and reinstalled the applications and then the map, and it all works ok now (although I'll have to re-install the speed camera database).
I guess the issue (in my case) is something to do with pairing of maps to devices (or something like that) which seems to get screwed around with refurb units. |
