Thanks , I've tried putting the volume up full on the iPod - when I went back into Navigon with the iPod playing a track I then get the speach prompts, but the music is still playing. I went back out and paused the track and back into Navigon and I have lost the volume again on the speech prompts - i think we're getting somewhere, it must be activating the speaker somehow. |

Hi all,
Thanks for your help so far trying to get this working... I've now discovered that the phone ringer is not working - i have it in full volume and have checked the settings. The silent vibrate works though. Have i got this set on silent somehow now? |

But I asked if sound was working in other apps and you said yes? The Mute button mutes ALL sound in ALL apps? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I gave Navigon a punt and, although I read a few comments saying that the voice was not great, I was surprised by how awful the instructions are when the phone's volume is high. It's so bad I cannot make out most of what is said due to distortion etc.
I am assuming it's not just me, or my iPhone, as sound is pretty clear from the iPod app at similar volumes.
Hopefully they will address this in an update as it would seem an easy thing to remedy. |

It's not just you! I noted much the same above. Although I can make out what is said I think I'll get a BT hook up installed in my car. I'm thinking about this one:

TBH, I don't think anything through the iPhone speaker will ever be that great in a car. I agree though that Navigon should be able to make it better than it is.

I'm convinced. Thank you!
I'd value views on prices. Halfords want £150 and that includes fitting. Reasonable? I'll definitely want someone else to do the fitting I think. |

Have a look on eBay. I got mine for £70 delivered from a non-eBay shop... I have seen them on eBay for £60 delivered though... |
