Be Aware - Online Memory

On-line Memory http://www.onlinememory.co.uk/ shows items as being in stock when they are not. Having ordered a 16Gb SDHC card I find out 6 days later it is not in stock and the company has no idea when it is likely to be. To be fair, I was not charged, but it might be prudent to give them an old-fashioned telephone call first before ordering.

To be fair this has happened to me with more well known retailers than this. I would only have been suspicious if i'd been charged for the item(s) only to then be told it wasn't in stock.

It is the sheer frustration of being told the item was in stock only to find out 6 days later that it is not and there is no immediate prospect of knowing when it will be. I needed the card for a specific date and am now playing catch-up! Crying or Very sad

Others in the same position of myself may be prepared to pay a little extra, from, say, Amazon.

Play.com is usually OK, just got a PNY 16GB for £17.99 delivered.

Still waiting for an Arkon Non-Skid / Friction Style Weighted Dash Mount from BlueUnplugged.com though, three weeks and counting...

7Dayshop.com in Guernsey are pretty good on stock and delivery. I just got 2 x 8Gb SDHC Toshiba cards for £21.98 for the two, delivered.

I had previously received 2 x 4Gb Kingston cards, but one was DOA and the other stopped working after 24 hours. Filled in the returns form and got a full refund within 24 hours.

The new cards came in 2 days which is not bad as I ordered them after midnight!
